I’m sort of learning that good stories are rooted in the real world, that there’s something rich and salty about truth.I’ve been developing Jack and Charlie with details from my actual ‘first time’ sort of stuff. Except with me it’s ‘third time’, because my first time was with a guy who was really fragmented and controlling – it was just experimentation at that stage so that’s … fine I guess, at least I got free of him. Then my second time was with my best friend (female, in this case) – again, that was more experimentation than really doing anything explicit.
So, yeah, my third time was when the real magic started. And it’s those tiiiiny little details you remember, right? Like the smallest detail on their underwear, or the texture of a cardigan. See renders – I’ve just tried to reproduce it as accurately as possible.
Now, not that anyone’d know, but I’ve already included details like this with Jack in the previous comic – Lithium 4 had a few scenes that were rich with details from my etched memories of a guy I was with; poking bulges, bathroom fumbles, that first skin-to-skin thing blowing our minds. So now it’s Charlie’s turn for the ‘real detail’ makeover – here we are: some real stuff that absolutely stuck in my hormone-riddled teenage brain!
^ just added this legit ‘third time’ detail from my past. That tiny pink bow – it was an innocent thing that I kinda fixated on at the time. We were in our late teens, so it was a detail that sort of stuck out, why have that little pink bow, right? We were adults then, at least in our minds we were. I was all black underwear and she was more … Skylar. Yup, didn’t realise that until I started thinking about it, but yeah, I guess there’s a lot of Skylar about her. Except for the ridiculous balloon boobs haha
