OK … I have completed all of the rendering for Lithium #10*. The comic will not be quite out this week I don’t think, because I still need to do all the bubbles and put like 20 pages together. But I think we’re looking at 185 pages total, and by next Friday. NEXT FRIDAY WOOP WOOOOPPPP!!! Or maybe Thursday … who knows, eh.
Thing is … I’m quite excited about this one. You know how at the end of the OHB series, there’s some pretty deep stuff going on, and everyone who gave feedback said that beach scene was the best part? Weeellll … I’ve just completed the ‘Epilogue’ equivalent scene in this thing, and thanks to my scene numbering system, it was scene file #42 (there’s over 60 scenes, but some of them are in-betweeny cuts and stuff). And I got to frame #42 of scene #42, and it was one of those full-length contemplative view-from-above kinda ones, and all the things fell into place. (If you don’t know, Douglas Adams’ joke is that 42 is the meaning of life).
Have to admit, I teared up a little bit making those last few renders, which doesn’t often happen when you’re doing your own work, does it? Huh. And reading through the penultimate scene I properly laughed out loud at the stupid gags in there. Hmm. So it seems this is another joyful thinker, another comic straight from the deep and very human and constantly slightly broken heart of ol’ Sindy.
So that’s … good. I think.

*I may have completed the rendering … but my poor laptop hasn’t. It’s got a to-do list as long as the next UK Government.
