Eggies and baldies, oh and VOTE HARRIS please, my god wtf ‘merica

*There’s an egg in my head*
*Sshhhh, me too*

As the 3D software I use continues to get patched in stages, and I’m driven to hide people’s haircuts just to make the software usable, I have come up with a temporary solution: baldness.

I simply take every [problematic] hair-growth object in the 3D scene and slave it to a single figure. Then I toggle that figure’s visibility so I can work. And which figure do I use as this visibility-toggling intermediary? That’s right; an egg. I searched the Poser library for ‘egg’ (because of the baldness), and it turns out there’s a free egg figure! Hooray!

So there we go, an Easter Egg of sorts; within each characters’ skull in the upcoming comic, there lies a single fried egg, to which their hair strands are slaved, and from which I can more rapidly operate the hair visibility! Hooray!

Did you need to know this? No.

Does it make the workflow less annoying? Yes.

Do I really need to do stuff like this to get round the buginess thing? Ohhhh, yes. Here’s a simple ‘render in background’ test render:

^^ I was about to use this in the upcoming comic, but then I spotted a tiiiiiny little error – see if you, too, can spot the problem.

Ahh, software, eh? Teams of people frothing at the mouth because of legacy coding, essential libraries of vintage patching, nightmare licensing deals with monopolising third parties … it’s a mess. One day our AI overlords will rule all this shenanigan-ing unnecessary and we will all breathe a huge sigh of relief. Especially software programmers, who we will find wandering the hillsides and mountainscapes of the world, their walking sticks and their smiling eyes guiding their peaceful progress.

I mean don’t get me wrong, more often that not it’s not the software’s fault at all, but the nob who’s trying to use it. I was going to share some renders to demonstrate that point as well, but they’re rife with spoilers, so. You’ll just have to imagine. Here’s a few test renders instead:

^ enough of a test for me to go “Nah, lose the pink top” and not bother making it actually fit her.

^ working on a nice little top for Charlie instead.

And here’s a few renders that made it in:

So yep, sheepy pyjamas and Gods in greenhouses. Usual sort of stuff from the desk of Sindy Anna Jones.

Comic update: 100 pages complete on the penultimate Lithium, maybe 20 more to go, or something. Out before Christmas. Ho ho ho boobies.

PS. I understand there are problems with lots of American politics right now, but voting for a glorious act of brutal self harm does not move you forward, nor does it drain any ‘swamps’, it just opens the door for people like Putin (the ‘genius’, according to Trump). Voting for that grotesque wreck of a man will unfortunately push you ever closer to real living, breathing Fascism. And God knows how desperately close you got to all-out bloodthirsty chaos last time.

The BBC puts it that he will be remembered for, “his atrocious handling of the deadly Charlottesville protest in 2017, the rise in violent right-wing extremism during his tenure in office, and the viral spread of malevolent conspiracy theories that he encouraged.”

If you put someone in power with a sustained track record of saying absolutely any words in any order in order to sway people through an emotional ‘them-vs-us’ response, then you will lose your ability to vote in a fairly short space of time.

^ that photo’s taken after Trump was briefed by US intelligence on what Putin was up to; he was one of his only supporters.

Remember the last time Russia was able to actually vote on leadership? Uh-huh. Cool. But yeah, by all means vote for whoever you want, I mean who am I to shout DON’T DRINK THE POISON A SECOND TIME YA FUCKEN WEIRDOS!

Meanwhile in the UK, we actually managed to vote out our awful community-centre-closing, economy-humping utterly provably corrupt Conservative party, and have begun to reverse the adolescent ‘ignore the experts’ mentality. Perhaps now we’ll even fix our Victorian prison system, and in the process who knows, maybe we’ll spot the link between the Housing Crisis and the runaway-train of completely unregulated landlords who hoard property like peoples lives are a game. Good things can happen.

PPS. If you disagree with my politics and think I should stick to comics, you’re probably right I mean look at Jesus, he never got political; which is why he lived a long life and died peacefully in his sleep.

PPPS. Boobies.

  1. Sindy,
    Thanks for the comic update.

As far of the political stuff:.. oh man… I respect your thoughts but I do disagree. Did you know that our current government here in the good ol USA just made changes that they can take lethal action against its citizens on our sovereign soil? Oh who is running our country… the same people that our VP Kamala is running with. Wait what! It’s just like the good ol England throwing a guilty book against a man standing in a spot praying in “thought”? Wait does England have laws to keep its citizens like cattle and not allow even thoughts… sounds like a movie 🍿 but it’s not.
Honestly I’ve already chosen the less of two evils at this point of my life. The amount of chaos that has come out of my government at the moment… aka I live in the state of Colorado… I take a change. Oh and to mention Colorado… beautiful state, love it… but the entire government is ran by the democrats. Tell you what they do… they make you vote on a bill, the citizens of the state vote no. Then the democrat senate, house& governor pass the same bill regardless after you said no… where is the choice that we have… all they want is “do as I say & not what I do”

Honestly the chaos that surround government is based on a lot of feelings these days instead of true facts. Life isn’t easy, we just move along the best we can and hopefully live long enough that our families and children have a better life than we have now.

We can all agree we have our own opinions and thoughts … I appreciate yours and love your creativity you produce.

    1. Aye fair enough. Except does England have any laws against thought?! I’d be interested to read more about that. And I thought lethal action against citizens was always a thing? Otherwise how would police swat teams operate? Even in Goode Olde Englandshire we allow the occasional Citizen Hunt, we’re even encouraged to use narwhal tusks and get praised as heroes (https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-50870309). Or perhaps I’ve misunderstood something.

      1. Well… here’s what’s been in the news from there … https://youtu.be/ppahtNxZBt4?si=tbHcxllMcdMq5Dt1

And no… the department of defense had a directive policy stating that they couldn’t but that changed 6 weeks ago when they “silently” change the directive to allow full lethal force… beforehand it was non lethal force. Also swat teams are going against people that have broken laws… the new law of lethal force is against peaceful protestors or objectioners.

We here in the USA have our constitution and we have that to keep our fundamental rights to freedom. Everyday… there’s an attack on our freedoms and our legal system, which is part of the checks and balances of our nation has been working overtime and years behind trying to fix our problems the other parts of government that pass laws contradicting our constitutional rights.

Like I said it’s very ugly here due to too much government (democrats believe in big overwhelming public control) and not enough people taking a step back and thinking about the consequences of their decisions.

        1. You know what’s better than talking about our stupid governments????
Kitties and boobies! That’s what we need more of!

          1. Well I’d definitely want to protect the right to protest and to peacefully object to things 👍. I’d also want to protect the ability of authorities to intervene when necessary – but the specific details of how they do so, are important; and I’d be careful of broad headlines that damn entire groups, either way.

I have to push back on your link though – getting news from youtube is a little like getting facts from Wikipedia; the content is worth checking, particularly when an emotional response is [purposefully] triggered. A very quick look at the details of the ‘thought control’ case show the court case was reasonable, the guy involved was inside a ‘safe zone’ designed to keep vulnerable people safe from dickheads even if they were just miming their opinions. The guy needed arresting in my opinion (and I say that as a big fan of prayer and the Bearded Dude upstairs). Here’s a more calm appraisal of what happened: https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/crime/christian-bournemouth-christchurch-uk-parliament-army-b2631603.html … in fact anyone who had any involvement with actual legal proceedings in the UK would be fairly quick to point out the absurd problems with EWTN’s coverage and the weaponisation (aka monetisation) of a non-event like this. We have a similar problem with the Daily Mail; it’s entertaining to consume, but it does rot the soul rather.

We can 100% agree on two things though … boobies.

          2. Nah, you don’t get off that easy. That’s a load of QAnon bullshit and the DOD directive was just reissuing orders that were last updated in 2020. So stop getting your information from trolls on the internet.

  2. yeah, i like what you do, boobies amiright😆
but i disagree on the politics, probably because of differing trusted information sources rather then holding different values(i like the thinking part of your commics so yeah same value).

I think the only difference, is you probably don’t listen about politics consistently, so you don’t know who is a propagandist and who is honest but biased source.
Their propaganda are meant to be believable by the layman or laywoman in this case.
They just can’t keep the lies consistant over a long enought timescale, and most of the time reading the actual article rather then only the headline is enough to see through their game.

I lost trust in legacy media after one too many “we_never_said_that™” , well i got a very good memory, and you changed your tune from 2 days ago.

i could do a very long speach on the subject, but i am bad at words, it is late and english is not my main language, sooo . . .trump is the 1st president in at least 50 years that didn’t start a war, directly reducing casualty saving lives and tan boobies.
so yeah i can forgive him looking like a tuperware that had lasagna in it once.

    1. 😂 that punchline!

I don’t really care how he looks, it’s the active disinformation, racist/sexist attitudes, and thinly-veiled fascist ambitions I could do without. And the war claim is worth checking; “Carter and Ford join Trump in not starting or escalating existing foreign conflicts” (https://www.reuters.com/article/world/fact-check-which-us-presidents-led-the-nation-into-new-wars-idUSKBN2A22QR/) – but then complex misinformation does take a long time to unpick, it’s easier just to listen to the headlines and ignore what’s really going on. How many such ‘peaceful’ presidents have sat back while Congress got stormed, do we think?

    2. Ugh, this nonsense again. Look up how many drone attacks Trump ordered. Look at the actions we took in Yemen and how close we were to a conflict with Iran that could have excalated had COVID not calmed things down.

What War did Biden start? The US is not at war with anyone, we are actively supporting a nation that has been invaded by another country, a country which has indirectly attacked us militarily over the last decade (remember the russian bounties on US soldiers in Afghanistan? – who was president then?)

We also did not start the conflict in Gaza and that conflict has existed for over 100 years. Our participation and support to one party in that conflict is nuanced and complicated and not appropriate to get into on a discussion board of an erotic comic site.

  3. I’m in Europe just like you and I agree with you politically but I wouldn’t worry too much: Republicans antagonized women too much. There’s just no way they’ll win when half the population is pissed off at them.

So… it looks like boobies will win the US elections.

    1. Unfortunately, non. People couldn’t quite get their heads round voting directly for a woman after all. I honestly think if Biden had kept making sense for an extra 9 months he’d be in, and would then be able to step back for Harris within weeks of being elected. It’d be controversial, but she’d do a great job and make electing someone with ovaries possible in future.

      1. When the press and then the Democratic party threw Biden under the bus I feared it was all but hopeless. Sad to say, but Obama was an anomaly and the reactionary fervor in the U.S. is bound to be with us for a while, unless Trump and the Rs screw it all up so badly that the ignorant masses, and more importantly, the business community, start to suffer and realize what the cause of their suffering is. If it’s not personal it just doesn’t matter to most people. And if the Ds persist in thinking that someone other than a straight, white man has a chance at the presidency anytime soon they are bound to fail. It’s very unfortunate to have to say it, but that is the reality of it.

  4. Hereinafter, this will be the place that I go to get ALL my political discussions. Were that discussions in other places were so civilised (and boobie anchored).

    1. Yeah it doesn’t take much, it should be possible for people to be civil and respect each others positions really.

  5. Well. The votes are in and Trump has a go. This will be intristing… .
How about a bet? I bet we will loose Ukraine and Taiwan. Also the US institutions we be reconstructed by Project 2025.
…as a german this sounds to familiar to watch. Looks bit like 1933 now.
Let’s hope for the best and prepare for the worst.

    1. Yeah it’ll be interesting. I spoke to a Taiwanese friend recently and they’re not bothered – China looming has always been part of the willy-waving that they’ve put up with for decades, they [apparently] don’t take it seriously though it looks spicy in Western headlines. Taiwan’s industry is too delicate a trophy to storm in and claim; China would have to decimate the place in order to ‘win’ it, and the tech industry would just relocate thanks to Taiwan’s excellent global connections, so all China stands to win is wrecked land which they have plenty of already. Russia, on the other hand …

      1. Ukrainians also did not take the threat of Putin seriously. Even after he invaded Crimea, they thought he would be satisfied and didn’t think he’d try to take the rest of the country.

        1. I don’t know, they were digging trenches for years, they just lacked the military budget to really escalate. They took it pretty seriously though – they were getting training from UK troops for years before Putin invaded, trying as hard as they could to tool-up in terms of preparation. Only reason they were able to step up so quickly was because the UK threw our own (absurdly well funded) resources at them when it finally did happen, and at such a rate it helped bring the invasion to a standstill; once the UK got involved the rest of Europe did a great effort and sent weapons in a massive flurry, but Ukraine couldn’t have got all that stuff otherwise; they weren’t being lazy – if anything it was the rest of Europe not taking it seriously.

  6. You forgot to mention… the senate and house now has a majority of republicans, just like trump. Also our Supreme Court is 5 out of seven republican biased. Last time I remember was back in the 1980’s with Regan when he brought prosperity and peace to not only the USA but the world.

The amount of name calling, chest pounding, looking down on each other and the words of “do as I say but don’t do as I do” is just so rampant.

I’m not a huge fan of trump… but I am a believer of the republican ideals for the current situation of the dumpster fire we have here in USA.
I’m mean honestly can you trust people who say” I own a gun to protect myself from you and intruders in my own home” but says I can’t have one because they are dangerous and I “might” use it for a mass murder. We have a constitution that our country abides by. Current members of that same government people say … I live and defend the constitution…. But they block comments and free speech on my social media accounts, ban me from sharing something to my fellow friends and then lie directly to our face and say we are free to protest but have no way to make a protest from said ban. It’s our word vs theirs… honestly someone that say our upcoming government is shades of previous governments that started ww1 and ww2 has not looked at what our super large government is currently doing. A republican ideal is to downsize government and close our borders from dangerous people.

I say to all… I hate politics…. And I absolutely hate politicians…. They are evil in my personal opinion. They don’t deserve to be on tv and be praised like actors, musicians and celebrities. They also don’t deserve to be in government for an entire career. Being in a position of government, a person is to serve the people… not the other way around of controlling people… and be limited for their time served with term limits. Oh hey look… our president can only serve 2 four year terms… vs our law makers can go year and year, decade after decade. It’s all f’ing crap.

    1. Well said.

Every government in human history is only out to maintain and expand their power.

The constitution republic that America is supposed to be was high jacked long ago. And horrors were committed against we the people not only of the nation but of planet earth. The same can be said of the all empires, city-nation states, religions and kingdoms.

Humans are great individually normally. It’s when we identify with a group or culture rgat we get dangerous to those around us.

It never been between right or left, but freedom or tyranny.

      1. “Every government in human history” – bit cynical, and lots of examples of crazy yurt-based governments and lots of little calm govs (particularly from Scandi countries) with zero ambitions of expanding power … but I get what you’re getting at
“It never been between right or left” – agreed
“when we identify with a group or culture we get dangerous to those around us.” – yup.

        1. Wow, I had no idea Americans are such suckers. I can’t believe they fell for the obvious lies and actually think Trump represents “Freedom” and Harris is for “Tyranny”. I wonder where they got their “news” other than YouTube.

I still don’t get the vote for Trump, though. Even if they believe the BS about Harris, do they not remember they already gave Trump a chance?
Trump is the one who expanded government intrusion in people’s lives. Trump is the one who, when protests rocked the country, poured gasoline on the fire. Trump is the one who repeatedly wanted to use the army to put down peaceful protests. Trump could have encouraged people to voluntarily comply with basic germ control during the pandemic, but he did the opposite, forcing local governments to impose mandates. Trump is the one who demonizes the media, encourages violence against journalists, talks about jailing reporters, and says he will sue news agencies out of business. Trump constantly claims that American democracy is “rigged” but encourages policies that make fraud more likely (e.g., withdrawal from ERIC). Trump is the one who issued an executive order that would allow him to replace the non-partisan government employees with handpicked political appointees. Trump is the one who encouraged a mob he knew was armed to go to congress to stop the peaceful transfer of power and then sat on his thumb for hours during horrific violence. And, Trump is the one who wants to use the executive office’s power of clemency to ensure he will not have to pay for the crimes he has committed.

God. I could go on and on about how he has already acted as a tyrant. Everything I typed is just off the top of my head. How can Americans not remember this?

(Also, how on Earth do people who happen to enjoy porn vote for the candidate who picked Vance, the guy who wants to make it illegal?)

  7. I learned long ago from the writings of Joseph Campbell, the middle path between the hyped and heavily market poles are the place to see and act with clarity.

Polarity traps exist in great number giving the illusion of choice, the carrot or the stick. Resist one side, embrace the other. Republican or democrat, ford or Chevy, coke or pepsi, big mac or whopper. The choices are endless and keep your mind in a narrow bandwidth of thought, emotion and reaction.

Each pole is a black hole or wrong or right depending strictly the viewpoint of the supporting cultists. Neither, quite frankly, is different other marketing strategies. They are all owned by multinationals like Blackrock which are owned and influenced by central banking families and others, including the media outlets whose job is to divide and sow fear-confusion.

The path of gray in the center is outside the event horizon of each black hole. Maybe by no coicidence, the heart chakra is in the center between mind and body. When trapped in either opposing pattern, we cannot see the trap for what it is and get lost in the cult of personality and ego identification with one side or the other.

The intuitive heart seems to access the infinite potential of the quantum field and allows clarity of vision and movement far beyond the scope of human comprehension, let alone understanding. I am grateful I found that path long ago and was able to unplug from the debris and hubris of the many traps I left behind.

We all have our paths. And Americans chose to unburden themselves from what was and right a wrong committed with a suddenly appearing overnight (and never seen again) extra 20 million ‘votes’.

At that level, no one’s hands are clean or unmanipulated by some group somewhere. We shall see what happens because it could just be the next nail in the coffin and an excuse for an economic meltdown where, despite trillions in unsustainable debt, orangeman will get the blame for something others did (as usual). But someone has to play good cop in the presented drama (see you Musk). That is the nature of the great show produced by those that always want MORE.

We definitely live in interesting times!

    1. ‘Polarity traps’ is a good phrase, yeah. I also see a lot of chaos and extremely unclear thinking going on from lots of people – like they’re trying to weave headlines together to form an opinion, but almost every sentence is something you could squint at and go “… hold on, what does that even mean?” or “Where on earth did you get that simply-provable disinformation?!” – literally it’s like the Tower of Babel haha.

So yeah, I think clarity of (well founded) argument is a simple way to tell who’s helping us move forward, and chaotic conspiracy word-salad is a simple test for who’s helping us move back into the dark ages of tribalism and violence.

  8. Not from the US, but I understand the idea of governments of both persuasions being untrustworthy in important ways. Seems like there are degrees though.
Trump won this election more or less fair and square, and I’d be a hypocrite if I didn’t say that that needs to be respected as the will of a majority of US voters. But it is scary to have a guy in there, who has now been told he can do whatever he wants as president without fear of prosecution, who doesn’t actually respect the electoral process. Who has said in every election he has contested that he would only respect results if he won, and tried to imply that if he lost it could only be if it was rigged. He won two – but when he didn’t win, like a big, dangerous child he just said he won anyway. The stuff he’s said about the electoral process, his support for the perpetrators of the attempted coup on Jan 6 2021, the stuff about ‘the enemy within’ – it makes people legitimately wonder if this is going to have been the last somewhat-genuinely democratic election for president the US has for some time…
That and I feel like this guy is kinda the antithesis of everything these books are about? He seems to represent a particularly regressive form of macho, authoritarian masculinity. Be aggressive, never admit defeat, never back down, never show kindness, never show real empathy, blame the most vulnerable. Drum up people’s fear and hatred and leech off of that. If the facts don’t support your narrative make shit up.
I also wonder what world we are living in when Reagan brought “prosperity and peace” (credit for engaging with Gorbachev – but otherwise stagnant wages, high unemployment, higher deficits in spite of less social programs, miscellaneous military actions) or when Musk is “good cop” when he wants to cut the guts out of social prgrams. Seems like views of the world are pretty deeply divided right now.

  9. The American people have spoken and they said, “We are really stupid”. Britain had to learn the hard way with Boris, Brexit and Liz. America now gets its chance.

Nothwithstanding that a gross majority voted for a convicted felon, a convicted serial sex-offender, a businessman(?) who has been bankrupt six times, a riot-inciting narcissist who took the phrase “sore-loser” to never before known heights. Worse than all, they voted for a man who, at age 73, did not know that ingesting/injecting bleach is not something that humans should do. Not the sort of person to whom you should give the nuclear weapons release codes.

And don’t believe the nonsense about the U.S. government being allowed to use lethal force against its citizens without due cause and process (except for minorities and the police). Just more misinformation from the loonies.

    1. How much you want to bet the “lethal force” nonsense was amplified by Putin, if not completely fabricated by him?

  10. Sindy, thank you for the above effort in trying to educate through patience, humor, and understanding. Reading the comments and resistance to your common sense reminds me of myself and how it has been over here in the United States. Flat out, people got it wrong here. Hopefully one day the dam of stupidity will break and light and love and LOGIC will fill into the minds of those who insulated themselves away from clear sight.

Glad to hear how you mentioned the UK dumped many of those responsible for the problems over there. (did you see Nigel Farage at Trump’s party on election night? yeesh)

Anyway, these are tough times. I’ve been a fan of yours for awhile now but this finally evoked a response from me. Alas, thank you for what you do. I see you as someone who helps to add beauty to the conversation of who we are and what we are capable of.
Love and light to you and yours –

    1. Thanks Phillip, yes please do hold onto hope old chap – it was some pretty dark times for us with one fiasco Conservative Government after the next, and ALL the media (even the BBC, which was given a super-right Chief Exec so that all subtly leached down with expert-denying policies) – locked in a Left-smothering narrative that prevented people being able to vote with any clarity. At least America only has to get through four years at a time – that’s a good policy IMO, we’ve been stuck without community-focussed projects or a voice in Europe or … women’s centres … for 14 years! The damage.

And Farage? Grotesque. It makes me feel rather sick to see him anywhere near the UK Parliament buildings at all, he should be in charge of nothing larger than a pie. Apparently Boris was sacked from hosting the Channel 4 coverage of US election night because he was only interested in advertising his own book! Incredible fiascos.
