Okay minor setback on the upcoming comic, my stupid computer system is having a minor breakdown, which means I’m having to shift everything about like a happy gazelle … prancing? About the … digital? Wilderness? I don’t know, but it does mean I’ve had to actually BACK UP MY WORK for once, something I never…

Occurred to me that, when we’re creating sexy stories (as one tends to), if you cannot: make something sexy without abusing someone make something funny without mocking someone make a point about immigration/politics without dishonouring an entire race/group … then you’re a fucking moron, and should probably stop what you’re doing and have a little…

I thought I’d highlight a few references from the recent comic, because there may be things in there you’d missed … in fact there will definitely be things in there people missed because, much like Joan of Arc (or Winona Ryder), MY MIND IS INFECTED and I tend not to explain where things come from,…

Hello! After a small site outage (sorry about that; if it happens again longer term, bookmark my Renderosity page for updates) we seem to be back running. I’ve been having fun this week, setting up the new scenes for comic #2 of Reunited. One thing that always makes scenes hard to change is shifting lighting…

I’m glad everyone enjoyed the recent comic! Now, as many of you have commented in various ways, I’m sure people are eager to know … what’s next for John, Daisy and their absurdly-endowed mother?!?!?! Well obviously there’s a second comic coming [soonish], and obviously it will include a little more about John’s relationship with his…

Do you like pink and green bikinis? Do you like the specific year 1983?! Do you like CASIO WATCHES, Thatcher references, choc ices, tanning oil and fucking sexy teenagers*?!?!!? Do you like seeing Kal’s father John appear as a lad in an extravaganza of Tira Yugen -consistent comic universe tie-in lore?! Do you like stiff…

As a casual observer of the former colonies, occasionally I find myself concerned. India: in fairly good shape, on the up industrially. China: we gave it all back, calm down. And why is my wifi network uploading so much overnight? Australia: I’m enjoying your laws on avenging trees. And then we come to … the…

(This is a long lead-in to an update about the comic I’m working on, bear with me). I just watched the recently re-done He-Man [aka Masters of the Universe]. As a child of the eighties, I can honestly say … no. They tried to make the film edgy and sarcastic (which, as a student of…

Inspired by the idea that, heck, most of my comics feature absurdly svelte ladies whose torsos are longer and more narrow than a … than a … pencil cat? … I thought I’d play a little with the elfin/mythical/medieval/other-worldly fantasy character previously posted. The trouble with standalone characters, though, is that they can be a…

Someone discovered my comics this week and bought a bunch of stuff on my wishlist – I love it when that happens, hehe. its so fun getting random messages like this: “… I read it the whole night, I didn’t get any sleep before work, since I was so locked in by the story […]…

I suppose when writing something like a journal, we bring into the real, the depths of our struggle. And so when we write stories (or paint pictures, whatever), we’re conjuring something of an avatar of ourselves into the real; cos that’s where the processing can begin. And when it’s something dark, we seem to ‘art’…

Okay I’ve un-shelved a fun lil project from a few years back, and I’ve just added 15 pages to the 55 that were banked so we’re rumbling along on the horny train straight out of … out of ermm … sex station? Wait, no it’s left the station so … virginity station? Anyway toot toot!…

AARGH hello internet. I’ve often wondered why I seem driven to bash out tens of thousands (literally) of pages of comics in one vast cohesive multiverse-style sex romp ultra-fiasco that all interlinks, and … other people don’t seem to do that. Do they? I’ve looked into it, and there don’t seem to be many [sex…

You know how sometimes, no matter your gender or persuasion; sometimes you’re out and about and trying to mind your own business, but someone’s human body makes itself known and you can’t really help but stand there and go OH MY GOD are you KIDDING how is that even … … and you stand there…

I haven’t said anything on the debacle in America for a little while, in many ways there’s nothing that needs to be said. Irrespective of which particular fiasco of a ‘government’ you currently find yourself living under, I think Ursula Le Guin puts it well: And in alienating ourselves, we do tend to find things…

I have this old external hard drive that contains all my half-ideas, character development rigs, semi-complete comics and … well crap basically. I’m sure lots of people have an equivalent. Anyway now and then I dig through it, rifling through semi-formed comic concepts, pondering what to do next or just playing around. Sometimes it’s just…

I thought I’d check in on Tira Yugen’s page, see if there was any progress on you-know-what, and lo! … No, there isn’t. Well, apart from some banging renders released a month ago, and a cryptic “… which will no doubt come in handy in my final Rather Magnificent Family Bubble comic! Watch this space….

Always open to anonymous feedback, I noticed one reader very fairly pointed out of Lithium; “Where, in the kids’ apartment, is the kitchen?” – it’s a good question. And honestly, I pondered this as well. Where do they cook?! What if they wanted a cuppa?! How did they swish a mouthful of bad yogurt down…

Occasionally I indulge in a little gaming and thought I’d mention one I’ve been playing recently. I’m certainly not a big gamer so do feel free to suggest other beautiful / moving games that you’ve found. Anyway this is one of those that has drawn me in to play over and over again. I’m not…

I was prompted to think more on the topic of Limitarianism after an interesting exchange with Alex (thanks Alex). So here’s a little further thought-wrangling. Steps to improve the world:  Make an arbitrary limit to the absolute wealth that any one human can hoard, let’s start with £1B because if you’re not happy with £1B,…

There are lots of things to love about the country I currently find myself in. But then there are lots of things I could get quite anxious about as well. Our march of gammons following far-right adolescent Tommy Robinson was a concern. Our seeming inability to spot the problems with Islamophobia is another one. I…

One of my perennial problems in making comics, is the apparent age of any of the characters. In a coming-of-age story (which my comics are often about), getting close to that ‘first time’ feel, without crossing that boundary of “Hold on, this is depiction of under 18s” … is pretty difficult. How old are fictional…

Who knows what to do, eh? All of this **gestures vaguely** going on. It’s almost as if our powerlessness is okay, is part of us. And all we really need to do is to be us. People who care about people. People who when grievance politics comes on the radio … we switch the radio…

It’s a funny thing, money. Sometimes I’ve had it, sometimes I haven’t. One thing I’m really glad to have learnt early on is that when I’ve had absolutely tons of it, though it has provided ‘stuff’, it hasn’t correlated with my deep happiness/contentment with life. And sure I love to spend it, sure. For reals. Comfort…

(Did anyone notice that Catan reference in the second Kinfolk comic? No? Ah well, doesn’t matter, just my ’tism being the ’tism.) Okay anyway, I think I may have found Eden and I thought it important to report back to the internet. In the actual real world, I’m currently sitting on a creaking leather chair…

Always a fan of Jerry Seinfeld (although I guess there’s a pretty strong chance that particular sitcom donger appears in the Epstein files … let’s not get into that), there are a couple of classic moments I always loved in that series; (1) SERENITY NOW! Shrieked by Ben Stillers father will always hold a warm…

3rd of Feb, I wrote this: … 4th of Feb, first time ever, saddest boy on the planet apparently wrote this:   … at least we know he reads good blogs 👌 Don’t worry about it, mate; we’re all on a bit of a journey. Happy Friday, everyone! 🍻

One of my all-time favourite Americans (who’s still alive), Richard Rohr said “In order to transcend what we are, our old self has to be destroyed”*. And the problem with any destruction, of the ego, of the old ways, is that it’s a bit of a painful process! We know this on a personal level,…

I’m thinking of making a short comic about what happens when someone thinks they can buy happiness, but it turns out they so obviously can’t. I always enjoyed that great scene in The Office, when the thick bros of the office eagerly fawn over the resident power-douche, saying “He could have any woman he wants”,…

Hi everyone! How’s your 2026 going?! Mine’s going great. This month I went down a few pretty dark rabbit holes with my 3D rendering and potential new storylines and then I … took a few steps back, hehe. Ever notice that? That you can escalate in terms of the booby stuff you look at (and/or…

Ho ho ho! Merry new year, one and aaaaalllll!!! I’ve been ILL all holidays which, on the face of it sounds very bad, however it has somehow managed to be one of the all-time best Christmases anyway. Perhaps it was that my (fairly minor) spate of illness was just in that sweet-spot where it was…

Feels good to be together, doesn’t it? Snuggled up in bed, early-morning light giving that blue glow through the sheets. Casual glass of wine from the night before, offered giggling to a mouth already half-full of croissant. Together is good. Heck, I remember when I could travel all around Europe without the slightest hint of…

After including an exclusively red-headed family in Kinfolk, based on someone I knew at primary school, I was reminded just how much I really do love ginger hair! What a beautiful thing our species is gifted with, eh? Quite right. And our wonderful redheads are hardly well represented by the slightly grotesque Thomson family ……

As mentioned in the comic, the Rumina character was actually given away years back by a generous content creator – so really I’m just passing on my lighting and materials settings (and some custom body morphs) to make this character into my ‘Rumina’ doll. Two characters included, should be everything you need in the runtimes;…

… boobies! No wait, that’s not it. Reminds me of … probably my favourite moment from that zombie comic, was our guy waking up after the dream and exclaiming ‘Vaginas’ haha! Not sure why that particular bit tickled me, but … anyway, ahem. So yes, Christmas is approaching once more. Our favourite absurd Roman Empire…

You may have noticed a couple of clangers in the final Lithium comic, hopefully they didn’t get in the way of your enjoyment of it. And as someone commented; “What happened to you? There were never such serious mistakes in the last 54 comics.” Well … it’s a good question. What did happen to me?…

Ello you loverly lot!! Golly, so the Lithium series is finished, eh? I just read it back through, and what a delightful little story it was, eh? I thought I’d highlight this little moment in the final comic – I’d always planned to have Karen’s walk of death down a corridor decorated with Rembrandt’s work…

Okay I have a bit of a tradition of choosing vaguely nice page numbers to complete my comics on, like I’d be happy with 56, 128 or 69 obviously, but 53? No. 141? Non. 179? NEIN! So I’m rather pleased to announce that the very final Lithium comic, released by probably the end of this…

Who’s got two dicks and had a small part in Lithium comic #10? This guy! Girl? This dude! Free giveaway, full characters for poser, based on V4. I’ve zipped it all up – password is twodicks Download → I mean … nobody might really want these characters but heck you can own a real part…

A few weeks back, BobC commented about Jilly’s top lip from Kinfolk; and although that may seem like a strange and random thing to notice, I thought I’d write about it because heck it’s actually an important little detail I’ve worked on for some time! Bear with me, there are lovely boobies in this blog…

Serious comic update! Okay, the final Lithium comic is at 170 pages, and I have a bunch of renders done, so in real terms we’re well past 170 pages. It’s a big comic, let’s face it. And even bigger news: I’m currently working on the final scene. Yup. It’s funny really; for anyone who’s worked…

Get them while they’re hot! Being the kind soul I am, I thought I’d give them away for free – Jilly and Ernest characters for V4, you’ll need the software (ie. Poser 3D) but apart from that they’re complete characters. I’ve just bundled it up in one big zipped folder, including dependencies – I mean…

Okay I’ve started packaging up some 3D characters – I’ll share them on this blog soon so if you’re into 3D content, check back! There’s also a few already out there – check the downloads now and then. Pictured above is one of the very earliest development Charlottes I created, based on V4. I think…

Okay I’m ploughing through the final Lithium comic, like a … plough through a … ploughable … yoghurt? Also, as I’ve been producing it and going through the Lithium lore, I was pondering this whole thing about the Narnia series – you know there’s all these references to The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe…

Important news: comic update! Okay so I did something I never normally do today – I pulled a ‘sickie’, and didn’t bother to go to work. I never do that normally, disagree with the whole thing of pretending you’re more ill than you are. Very bad, don’t do it. Naughty. No. But in my defence…

People keep whining at me to comment, so I’ll get it over with. I don’t know the guy Kirk, so why would I place judgement on the assassination, either way? Is it necessary to judge an assassination as politically ‘right’ or ‘wrong’? Wtf is going on? Listen, I’m sorry to have to say this, but…

Okay, maybe I was wrong about the La Femme 3D character – having only last week whined about how bad the character is, Tira Yugen politely whispers “Hold my beer”, and has just released some character WIPs that demonstrate what a great figure La Femme is after all … daaaamn. I stand corrected. I was…

I suppose my problem with racist marches in England, is it’s always people who clearly don’t have any friends who are much different to them. Just a sea of white faces and outfits from Sports Direct. I mean don’t get me wrong, I love Sports Direct, but where we see homogeneity, we see a problem….

So just to catch everyone up; about 100 years ago there was an arson attack on the German parliament building, which added to the general chaos and made a lot of people feel very scared. Generally what happens next is pretty clear: Ordinary politician: “This is awful, we all need to work together to promote…

Here’s a selection of some of the boobier images uploaded to this blog over the years, because I figure there will be a lot of people out there who would prefer a break from some of the absolute political jackassery going on all round the world rn, and didn’t come to this particular blog for…

Alright listen, I love 3D characters, sure. But having used many over the years, I still keep coming back to Victoria4, or ‘V4’, which was designed in about 2006. And I do give new 3D models a chance, you know, I try different ones when they come out. But they suffer basic things, that I…

Always entertaining, making these comics. The render above is just a lighting test really, it isn’t going to make it into the comic. But I thought I’d blog it up because, as mentioned in the previous post, you get some random cross-section, and bam! Quite the eye-waterer. When you’ve been humping your fictional 3d Ken…

“Can you tell what it is yet?” … awww, I used to love Rolf Harris. Whatever happened to … oh. Oh dear. Oh, Rolf. A little too handsy with the kids, eh? Tssss. Aaaaaaanyway, yeah so the greyscale image above is a 3D cross-section that made me chuckle, as I was zooming about the room,…

While reading Oblomov’s updates to their extraordinary STFW wiki (serious props to Oblomov again), I happened across the Music section. For a few years I had wondered about making a sort of STFW playlist on Spotify, but the reason I didn’t, was I’d never remember what music references there had been – but hey presto!…

Can people stop saying “All politicians are the same”, please? As someone who has worked directly with politicians for a few years now, I can say … they are very definitely not the same. People’s real root values vary from one person to the next, and in my experience, true legends constantly rub shoulders with…
