The Great Big Update!

What makes this the great big update?!?!!?! Okay nothing, I just noticed I’ve been so snowed with work I haven’t had time to indulge my slightly wankier self for a bit, and have left this poor blog, and the associated imaginings to gather dust ~ sorry about that.

However! I’m back. I have ten thousand thoughts, ten million ideas to update everybody with, forever and ever, but I’m coming to terms with the idea that perhaps I won’t be able to get through it all. Unless I can convince a friendly (and fairly horny) A.I. to make the comics for me; time will tell.

In the meantime I do, however, have a plan. Start working on the last Lithium – that’s the plan. Then once Lithium’s done done, I can dip in and out of shorter-form series that are a little less text-heavy, and a little faster to read. I figure the Lore’s pretty established by now, so I can add lighter stories thick and fast and they’ll slot in a lot easier with the STFW comic universe, wherever in the timeline seems easiest. It’s a pretty flexible timeline, after all …

At the last count, my development comics are up to about 250 pages of unreleased content by now, spread over about 15 concepts – plus new permission to create a certain Mom-Son comic [thanks Desertfox! Any further detail/anecdote you wanna add – let me know, it all helps build the story]. So there’s tons I could work on, when the time feels right.

I realise this makes it seem like I never finish anything, but … check my fairly prolific publishing history and you’ll see I do know how to complete projects, they just take a little while to find their place sometimes, is all.

Anyway the project hints – image at the top of the page is an idea that helps knit together Tira Yugen’s work with the STFW universe, revealing some family links and building some of the background with Kal’s family history in particular.

Second hint – below – is just a silly comic idea called Rob Tucker, Zombie Fucker. For some reason my initial 25 pages look really cool – like the software’s just getting better and I’m learning how to produce higher quality renders or something, so anyway that’s cool.

… it’s a very coarse concept, this one … but then, as per my usual methodology, I like to write comics that I know people with all sorts of kinks will find accessible – so when I get into the philosophy I’m exploring, it does good for people who understand difficult situations. Because … you know … I was one of them and ~I know how it feels to feel broken and useless. I mean we can have boobies and big thoughts too, right? Exactly, exactly. I’m glad you pointed that out. Thank you. No, no, thank you! Too kind, too kind. Glad we all agree.

So how have things been?

(Obviously if you’re an American you may not wish to answer that, but suffice it to say we’re sending nothing but love and compassion from the east. Lots of well experienced countries in Europe cringing at the thin ice that seems to getting some skating time, but perhaps let’s not go there.)

  1. Ooh, Just checked in to see if there was an Easter treat in the offing and there is… an update. It might not be a great big Easter egg but it’s sweet. I was delighted (and broken) to see the last Lithium is at least in the plan – such an amazing epic journey. As Bill Watterson so rightly said, “For all their seeming simplicity, the expressive possibilities of comics rival those of any other art form.” Adding boobies in the mix lights the ol’ internal fires up a treat. Happy Easter. 🙂

  2. I’ve only just realized that I don’t know what STFW actually stands for but I like to think it stands for Sure The Fuck Will…and now I’m fighting really hard not to just keep making more and more guesses as to what STFW stands for.
    Sharks Think Frogs Walk
    Stand There Frodo Waggins
    Sure Thank Fred’s Wife
    Steve Took Four Wizzes

Sometimes, it’s just more fun to guess funny things when you don’t know. I’m sure I could go digging for the answer, but just thought I’d give a little light-hearted “The hell is wrong with THIS one?!” post for ya! Keep being awesome!

      1. See???? Another good one! (also thanks for telling me what it really was. I swear I lost it somewhere during all these years. lol)

        Steven Tyler: Fugly Woman

    1. Space Trek Fleet Wars. if you haven’t read SAJ’s early work (STFW) by all means do. She’s been a phenom for quite a while now. And check out Telepathic Hentai Tentacle Spacey Rapey Sex Trek 9000, too; one of my favs.

  3. One more Lithium coming (cumming?), yay!

Gotta say, I fell into STFW universe HARD, just over a month ago. Love the characters, character building, story crafting (real plots and arcs and shit!), philosophy, psychology, sociology, history, non-sequiturs, 4th-wall breaking and more. All done with boobs out and dicks up! I was especially delighted by the inclusion of Tira Yugen’s story, of which I hope more will also be created!

Originally read the comics in random order as I stumbled across each story. Then re-read them in the in-universe chronological order. Then read them all again at a slower pace, to better appreciate the details, including trying to find all the inter-comic references (cool!).

Then I read it all again WITH THE MUSIC! Never before have I read a comic with a playlist! Truly great song selections, several of which were new to me. I’m certain there must a way to embed YT Music links in a PDF to make it click-to-play.

    Thanks!

    1. There’s no one, I repeat, NO-ONE, like our gal Sindy. I don’t know how she does, but we can all be thankful that she does.
