Giveaway #7: the apartment!

Free stuff! Okay, in keeping with me never ever spending a penny on 3D content, this apartment was based almost entirely on a freebie given away on Renderosity; I just sorted out all the lighting, materials settings etc. And I think originally it was like an outdoor patio thing, so I just moved everything indoors and turned it into an indoor living space. Anyway yeah so I’m giving away the full setup, with these three characters prancing about, hehehh.

  1. Your generosity is great, despite my not having a 3D modeling program. I collect downloads and nudge my ambition.

But these images. I was initially afraid Skylar would be a third wheel, until she became the bedrock and glue. Wonderful story crafting, there.

Skylar is not my personal ideal, but I’m so glad she and Jack and Charlie have each other. Clearly, I’m not really understanding throuples. Yet. Future chappies may inform me better.

    1. Hehe, yeah I’m not sure throuples really work in real life. Perhaps short-term. I know a few people who’ve tried and it’s a dynamic that can work for a bit, but … yeah not my thing either really.

      1. Being thrust into one of these a few months ago (well, sorta, M, with V shaped 2x F, if that terminology makes sense), seeing even you write this gives me even less hope of things working out. Such is life I suppose. 😛

        1. 😂 I mean it’s worth a try heheh. Heck I might be wrong, not like the sort of thing a lot of stats are available about, so yeh give it a go might be life-changing who knows eh.

  2. Your minimizing your efforts in “just moving it indoors” is understatement to be sure. Lots of work involved in doing that; at the very least, outdoor lighting is nothing like indoor.

    1. Hehe yeah I never use the stock lighting for these sorts of scenes anyway, they’re always crap and need re-setting up. My main problem is normally layout – for some reason scenes always lay things out at perfect right-angles – but real life isn’t like that, even if we try and have a neat room, sofas are always a few degrees off, a bit saggy in some areas, lamps always get shoved to one side to make space for a bag of crisps … but that’s the fun bit really, making things believable, lived-in.
