Re-released ~ One Human, Being (series). Comic #1: Contact!

boobies

I thought I might do a little tweaking and re-release the One Human, Being series, with alternative covers (and maybe a couple of typos sorted …), so here’s the download of One Human Being, comic #1: Contact!  (currently only in pdf but I’ll try and do PNG later).

Please distribute this around the internet as you see fit – I’m really proud of this series overall, and will be releasing the rest of the comics over the coming weeks as a sort of ‘special edition’ version. Hopefully this series will get spread about a bit, because it’s a rather lovely overall message of hope and freedom and boobies, and I’d love to see it well publicised/widely read. That’s partly why I’m re-doing the covers – I like the originals but I do think they prevented a lot of people just out for a quick fap from coming across the series, as it were … ooo-er … 💦

I’m wondering about editing some of the conversations in comic #2 as well, because Bob does get a little preachy. I mean he’s supposed to, but it does get a bit boring I think. Sometimes subtlety is more affective than the sledgehammer approach. Always enjoyed this interaction in the first comic though …

It’s been quite fun re-doing some of the render settings in order to make the cover.

Anyway, read, share and enjoy!

  1. For some reason, I had assumed comic updates weren’t a thing, given how polished they are, so I didn’t bother picking at any low-level nits, especially since they were trivial (detectable only by obsessively detail-oriented folks like me) and didn’t affect the story.

If feedback like that is wanted, I’ll take notes on my next readthrough and post them here as future fodder.

    1. Ah thanks Bob but I’d say don’t worry about it unless you have any major clangers from comics 4-8?? Minor things I wouldn’t bother because many of them I might disagree on anyway – I often get people trying to ‘correct’ things that just turn out to be Americanisms (aluminum, defense, prioritize ~ stuff like that), and they haven’t realised I’m English and so there’s going to be discrepancies between the languages. IT’S DIARRHOEA!!!!

But yeah if there’s plot issues or major errors I’m of course all ears. I might still not fix them but it’s worth flagging hehe!

    1. Yeah I have to remind myself of that sometimes, subtlety doesn’t always work. Question is how do we wield the sledge without destroying the sledgeee.

  2. OHB was a delight the first time and one of my favorties. Again will have a hard time improving but thanks for the effort. And while preachy may have its place, sometimes a more subtle approach where the reader gets the message through his own understanding leads to a more satisfying experience, but that presupposes some insight on the reader’s part … and some just don’t have it.
