Young Mary Poppins-sah!

Quick request before we get into the boobies – does anyone have the iconic HG Wells time machine (pictured) in some basic 3d format like 3DS or OBJ that they can share a download link for please? Don’t email me cos I can’t access my emails – comment below! I’ve googled everywhere and it doesn’t seem to be out there on ShareCg or whatever, for some reason. I’m sure it used to be on Vanishingpoint.biz but their site seems to have died? Here’s the archived version but I can’t seem to find it. Help me, internet!

Anyway, someone very kindly bought me a HUGE batch of 3D stuff on Renderosity (there’s a few more on the list now if you want to see more of this Victorian-era stuff), so I dived straight in and it got the old mind-juices flowing and I’ve accidentally had the idea of making a comic [at some point] about YOUNG MARY POPPINS! Great idea, right? Anyway I thought it’d be fun if she met that guy from ’60s film The Time Machine, cos they’re set about the same sort of time. And even if they’re not, heck the lad has a time machine so it’s perfect. Love the idea of a few totally innocent characters absolutely going at it.

So here’s some random lighting/materials tests where I chucked Jilly from Kinfolk in there as the test model for Mary Poppins. For, um … for science:

Classic Jilly pose, that ☝️

There. Nice and clean cor’ blimey Mary Poppins-sah! Chim-chimeneyyyy.

Yup. I obviously have a thing for bathtime. This 3D model is ‘Master bedroom’  -it’s just when I loaded it I noticed the bedroom (also good) came with an ensuite and I was like RIGHT. BATHTIME!

Ah well, we discover what’s lurking in our old subconsciouses bit by bit, eh? In my subconscious: FILTH! I mean BATHING!

Oh the bedroom’s cool too:

  1. Looks less like a Mary Poppins situation and more of a Miss Holmes and a Dr. Watson getting back from solving ‘The Case of the Sainsbury Slaughter’ where prices weren’t only thing dropping at a Sainsbury Sale! (And yes, the culprit was in fact the CEO who successfully offed the worker trying to create a worker’s union. Guest star: Karl Marx.)

    1. Yes, perfect thank you! As mentioned above – I did try that one, but as you kind people mentioned it I thought I’d try it again and the download worked – so problem solved thank you teaaammmmm!!!!

    1. Thank you! Yes I did try that one and it wouldn’t download – but after you linked it I thought I should try is again and it WORKED! Yay! Thank you for saving the internet. 👍

  2. The world needs this comic.
..well, I do anyway. Loving her boobies.
Think you do need to work in some garter/suspender belt/stockings action though, maybe a basque/camisole, as would be era appropriate..
    ..and would be sexy af.

    1. Thanks for the offer Greg, but I managed to alter a free one in the end so crisis averted! Thanks tho 👍

    1. It won’t surprise you that that sort of exclamation (along with every Julie Andrews reference from the Sound of Music / Chitty etcetcetcetc) has made it in to the script as well haha

      1. Well if you can do an alter ego of Truly Scrumptious in it I’d be forerver grateful. Oh, to hear Sally Anne’s pear-shaped tones.

        1. Yeah I always loved those characters in that type of film – and looking back, wow the colours, the sharpness – there’s something so seductive and beautiful about actual 35mm film. Wondering what I loved about those characters now – I suppose the sort of innocence, the idea they’re an absolute firecracker between the sheets but have this very prim and proper veneer hehe

    1. Thank you – managed it in the end – used an online thingy to go .stl to .obj and we’re golden 🙂

  3. That’s my kind of science Sindy, can’t wait to see the story it is indeed an inspired idea. Mary Poppins must have had her fantasies after all. Keep it up xx
